Time to start back running.  Returning athletes from WFHS track should run 5 days and mileage approx. 50% of average mileage during track.   Ideally, Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri/Sat.   Easy running.

 

Brand new runners and freshmen should run 4 days.   Target 20 minutes of running.  Run walk if necessary.  Ideally Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat

First week of organized practice.

Please try to attend as many practices this week as possible.   This is when we do our initial teaching and introduction of new team members to the squad and to the "West way".  Bring a friend.

Schedule 6/5-6/11

Practices last :90 minutes.  Please be on time.

TU/TH 6:30AM Fowler Park Soccer Fields

FR 6:30AM Matt Park, back pavilion.

SA 7:00AM Chattahoochee Pt Park

Our team first vibe means everything to WFHSXC.  We will celebrate every runner's journey towards finding their best self.   WFHSXC state results rank with the best in 7A.

We will strive for team excellence at all levels.  Last 2 years, our average team score at region was 2nd best behind Lambert.  In 2023?  We aspire to be first.

We can be both very good friends and very good runners all at the same time.  Pursuit of team friendly culture and championship level performance are not mutually exclusive goals but are instead symbiotic
