SOME OF YOU ARE STARTING TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU DON'T "HAVE TO" RUN. YOU "GET TO" RUN. Running is a blessing. It is good for your mind, your body and your spirit. These days, just being able to get outside in the fresh air is a blessing. Don't miss this fact amid all the confusion. YOU GET TO RUN!
If you are planning to run cross country next year, we really need you to continue training through the the middle of May. Then, we will all take our between season break and start the path to XC in June.
Emphasis in training is changing. We are focused on hills, speed and endurance. These things are crucial to stay in touch with, even if we aren't doing "big workouts". They keep you body and brain engaged and appropriately challenged. If you want to be your best, you have to run and you can't just go out jogging every day.
