The speed merchants dominate this long sprint race.   To run fast, you must treat this like a sprint. 

There is no finishing kick at the end of a properly run 800M race because you ran it in the 1ST 200M already!

49 athletes ran their fastest 800M ever during the '24 season. 

10 athletes ran performances that made the WFHS all time top 20 list!

Both 4X800M relay teams are region champs & made top 8 podium @ state.

Girl's top 5 average of 2:26 is 2nd fastest in school history.

Guy's top 5 average of 1:57 is fastest ever, ranks #3 all class, 6 under 2:00 ties Harrison for most ever in Georgia.
