2026 NORTH GEORGIA WOMEN
IT WAS NOT A PR KIND OF DAY
> Top 75 Blue race athletes from all teams averaged about :55 slower than LY PR.
> Shout out Rae, Harper V & Abby who managed PRs.
> Several girls ran faster in the 3K in the heat than the pace they managed in our time trial on a flat course!
WE CONTINUE TO RUN THROUGH FIELDS
> Most girl finished better than the place they were at mile #1
> West varsity improved almost 100 places from mile 1 to the finish.
> JV silver team (9th) and JV (5th) competed well.
> This was a competitive meet. Marietta (1st 6A), Harrison (2nd 6A), John's Creek (2nd 5A), Wesleyan (1st 1-3A private)
IT TAKES TIME TO LEARN HOW TO RUN YOUR BEST 5K
> New course, heat & hills make it tough to figure out pace / effort.
> Be patient. Learn. You have permission to fail as long as you have a great attitude and take calculated risks
> Workouts over the next several weeks will improve our lungs, legs and tolerance for being profoundly uncomfortable!
> Your attitude towards racing is A DECISION! Choose to embrace the opportunity to find your best self. Fear robs you of joy. Choose joy.
