2026 NORTH GEORGIA MEN

IT WAS NOT A PR KIND OF DAY

> Top 115 Blue race athletes from all teams averaged about :33 slower than LY PR.  West guys :27

> Shout out Brendan, Anders and Andrew who managed PRs.  All 3 came to a bunch of summer practices.

> Some guys ran faster in the 3K race in the heat than pace they achieved at our time trial on a flat course.  Progress!

WE CONTINUE TO RUN THROUGH FIELDS

> Most guys finished better than the place they were at mile #!.

> West varsity was 7th team place @ mile 1, finished 3rd

> JV silver team (4th) and JV (6th) competed well against good competition.

IT TAKES TIME TO LEARN HOW TO RUN YOUR BEST 5K

> New course, heat & hills make it tough to figure out pace / effort.

> Be patient.  Learn.  You have permission to fail as long as you have a great attitude and take calculated risks

> Workouts over the next several weeks will improve our lungs, legs and tolerance for being profoundly uncomfortable!
