Guys varsity ran the fastest team 1-5 average in race history.... and lost.  Congrats to Brookwood.

JV guys in the 4-6A varsity and JV races competed well in the heat and humidity.

Cross country is a binary sport.  You either choose to be tough or you don't.   Were you tough?

 

PACING

> People who perform best at this course tend to run their 1st mile about 10 seconds faster than their 5K average.

> If your first mile was more than 20 seconds faster, you started too quick on the day.

> If your first mile was <10 faster than your average pace, you started a bit too conservatively.

> Johan wins the "road kill" category with 113 runners passed after mile 1.  He looked shot out of a cannon.
